LEarn More About Mohamed Gento Kamara

A Passionate Business Mogul

Gento’s homeland, Sierra Leone, has always been close to his heart. After receiving an appeal from former President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah, he returned to Sierra Leone to help revive a sector of the country’s economy and mentored young Sierra Leoneans who had lost hope. Gento is known for his simple and austere lifestyle, having been born and raised in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone.

He attended Kissy Municipal Primary School for his elementary education and proceeded to Ahmadiyya Muslim School for his secondary education. His interest and passion for business and entrepreneurship led him to pursue a diploma at London Lewisham College, but he was unable to complete it due to several constraints.

Gento has been actively involved in helping alleviate diverse range of health-related issues, including anti-malnutrition initiatives campaigns, and more recently, COVID-19.

In 2022, he received a license for an iconic Seaport facility, which will significantly support industries and increase national competitiveness. The port will facilitate the movement of people, create infrastructural development, support over 10,000 direct and indirect job creations, attract investment, and lower costs for producers and consumers.

“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.”
